History of MIFF
MIFF hosted its inaugural film festival in 2020 during the pandemic. To keep our audience members safe, we followed all provincial guidelines for a drive-in screening at the Ontario Place.
MIFF hosted its second drive-in screening at the Ontario Place due to the ongoing Pandemic. In our second year, we screened a special feature of Mogul Mowgli, featuring Riz Ahmed. With several incredible film and food options, no one left MIFF hungry or unentertained.
MIFF hosted a three day film festival packed with incredible films and great entertainment. With Oscar qualifying shorts and feature films like Goodbye Julia and Insha’Allah, A Boy, Muslim Excellence was clearly buzzing. It was also the launch of our first ever “Behind The Screens” industry and networking event featuring Nemahsis on a panel.
